About

Built for the person about to spend twenty grand.

Moving abroad is one of the most expensive and least transparent purchases a person ever makes. We exist to fix the transparency half.

Every year millions of people move countries, for work, for family, for retirement, for a fresh start. Almost all of them begin the same way: a worried search, a dozen quote forms, and a sales call that knows you are committed before you do.

The problem

The information that would let you make a calm, informed decision is scattered, generic, or hidden behind a lead form. Cost guides are written once and stamped onto every country pair. Visa rules live in government PDFs. Movers compete on who can call you fastest, not on who is actually good on your route.

What we do

We model the real, all in cost of moving between two countries, alongside the timeline, the visa routes, the paperwork, and the cost of living once you land. Then, and only then, we offer a way to compare movers worth your money. The facts come first. The quote request comes last, if you want it at all.

How we stay independent

Movers pay a fee when you choose to request a quote. That keeps the index free to read with no signup. It also means our incentive is to send movers well informed people who know their route, which is exactly what an honest brief produces. We never name, rank, or recommend a single company. You compare them on your own terms.

The principle

Tell people the truth, even the parts that might talk them out of moving, and they will trust you with the decision that follows. An informed mover is a better outcome for everyone.

This site is an independent editorial resource. Information here is not legal, tax, or immigration advice. Always verify visa, residency, and customs rules with official sources before you move.

Who is behind this

Move Abroad Index is built and maintained by a small editorial team led by its two co-founders, who between them have lived and worked across many countries over the past two decades. That lived experience, the packing, the shipping, the customs queue, and the first month admin, is what the index is made of.

How we research, review, and update every corridor is set out in our editorial standards, and how we handle mistakes is in our corrections policy.

Who we are, plainly. Move Abroad Index is published by Kings Hospitality LLC, 1314 E Las Olas Blvd, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33301, United States. You can reach the editorial team through the contact page.
